Anne Hidalgo - President
Anne home schools her 5 children and is a partner at Help at Home Senior Care. She attended Sierra College with a business major and founded Integrated Solutions with her husband. She grew up caring for her aging grandparents, so senior care comes extremely natural to her. She currently sits on the Board at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce and is on several event planning committees throughout the community. |
Joseph Rodrigues - Vice President
Joe became a member of the Center in 2003. He has been a Board Member for 6 years. He was appointed as President on July 1, 2016. Joe attended the University of Hawaii where he majored in accounting and insurance. He moved to California to work for an insurance company in San Francisco for 38+ years. He received his Certified Insurance Premium Audit Degree (CIPA) in 1985. He was a Regional Premium Audit Manager for 18 years covering the 11 western states. He operated J & R Independent Audit Service from 1999 to 2003. Joe is currently a member of the Older Adult Advisory Service (OAAC). |
Dawn Marie Pesola - Vice President
Dawn Marie is recently retired. She was the Senior Nutrition Manager for Seniors First. She has over twenty years’ experience working directly with seniors in our community. She has held positions as a regional marketing director for several senior communities, regional property manager for senior housing and currently supports seniors relocating to Placer County. Dawn Marie is Auburn Senior Center’s representative serving on the committee of the Placer County Government Master Plan regarding the Community center at Dewitt. She is also an Ambassador of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. |
Nancy Koschyk - Treasurer
Nancy currently manages her own company, Accounting with Wolves. She attended Sacramento State University and received a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting. She worked in Public Accounting for 32 years, primarily as a non-profit and pension plan auditor. Her duties also included tax preparation of business entities, personal and non-profits as well as tax planning for large companies. She has served on the board of directors for the Center, Sacramento Sheriffs’ Toy Board, Acres of Hope, Secretary for the Gold Country Rotary and the Passport Rotary and she is currently an active member of the Auburn Rotary. |
Pamela Lee Galloway - Secretary
Pamela is a Service Coordinator for the senior housing program operated by Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration. Pamela has been a legislative assistant to Lobbyists for the California Seafood Institute and the California Community Colleges Trustees Association. She has worked for Placer County in Health and Human Services, Section 8 Housing, Community Services, Block Grant programs, and Community and Economic Development. While taking a hiatus to raise her two children, she became a self-employed technical advisor for land mapping/use. Gary Young - Director
Gary is the Owner/Partner of Granite Real Estate, Granite Real Estate Commercial, Granite Property Management, Kai Real Estate, Granite Appraisal Group and Managing Broker of Grace Capital. He has 25+ years of residential and commercial real estate development, management, valuation and brokerage experience. He is also the founder of CustomerLink.com. |
Sheryl Petersen - Director
Sheryl recently retired as the Recreation Services Manager for the Auburn Recreation District (ARD). She attended CSU East Bay and received her MS in Ed Leadership. At ARD she was responsible for community classes, aquatics, adult and youth sports, community events, and sponsorships. Prior to ARD, she served as the Director of Special Programs at The Athenian School in Danville, CA, where she also taught, coached and directed residential housing. She is currently an active member and Past-President of Auburn Association of University Women, and current Secretary of the Auburn Sunset Rotary and a member of Auburn Elks. |
